How to install the toilet?
When the main drain is not nearby, installing a toilet or bathroom can be difficult, if not impossible. Saniflo and Sanicompact are quick and easy to install. These are solutions that will allow you to install a bathroom anywhere and without a lot of additional work.
Why install Saniflo?
The installation of a Saniflo macerator makes it possible to create additional toilet facilities anywhere in the house, even in the absence of gravity drainage and without requiring major and often expensive construction work. You only need a water inlet, a water outlet and a fused spur outlet to install a Saniflo.
Thanks to its efficient maceration system, the waste is carried out in small diameter pipework (22/28/32 mm) allowing a neater installation. An ideal solution to arrange additional bathrooms and gain privacy when inviting friends or family members. Not only that, it is estimated that the addition of extra toilet facilities will increase the value of your property by nearly 10%. Saniflo or Sanicompact, which one to choose?
There are two types of macerators that can meet different layout problems:
Saniflo range: a macerator placed behind a toilet with a horizontal outlet. Some models accept waste water from several sanitary facilities (toilet, sink, shower, bidet) to install a complete bathroom. (Requires a power outlet).
Sanicompact: ceramic bowl with an integrated macerator, designed for small spaces (installation without water tank). A sink connection can be supplied as standard or as an option to create proper cloakroom. The sanicompact requires an electrical outlet and a water supply system.
Which product should I choose for my house remodelling project?
To install a toilet and wash basin, choose the Sanitop Up. This model allows you to pump waste water from toilets and wash basins together. Sanitop Up is designed with 'silent technology' and is one of the quietest macerators on the market. It has easy access to remove any foreign objects which may be flushed away, without having to disassemble the product or empty the waste water tank.
For the installation of a complete bathroom, choose the Sanipro XR Up. This model pumps away waste water from a complete bathroom. Thanks to its powerful motor, the Sanipro XR Up macerator can pump up to 5m vertically and 100m horizontally. It is designed with 'silent technology' and is one of the quietest macerators on the market. It has easy access to remove any foreign objects that may cause blockages, without having to disassemble the product or empty the waste water tank.
For installing toilets in tight spaces, Sanicompact is the ideal choice. This model is a very compact toilet with an integrated macerator. It is ideal for small spaces such as under stairs or cupboard conversions. Sanicompact is equipped with 'silent technology' and is one of the quietest macerating toilets on the market.
How to maintain a macerator toilet?
It is advisable to regularly clean and descale your macerator.
Saniflo descaler is especially designed to clean the inside of the appliance without damaging the internal components. This formula is also suitable for septic tanks.
It is recommended to descale monthly when the water is very hard, every 3 months when the water is hard or every 6 months when the water is very soft. Pour ½ container of Saniflo descaler into the toilet bowl, flush once and leave for 2 hours or overnight. Then flush through twice more and your macerator will be clean and working more efficiently.
